In our continual effort to offer the best bike tours available in Costa Rica, we are pleased to offer you the following new tours. These new offerings have been developed over the past few months, drawing upon all the expertise accumulated since starting operations here in Costa Rica back in 1994.
Bi Costa Rica is locally owned and operated and all of our guides and staff are residents as well, since explicit local knowledge is the key to offering you a true “Pura Vida!” Costa Rica experience.
Since Costa Rica is a developing country we are constantly on the look-out for new and exciting rides, destinations and additional adventures. In addition to great riding stages our specialty; we also include many other activities. Canopy tours, featuring zip-lines strong through the rain forest, white-water rafting, sea-kayaking, wild-life observation, float trips and nature hikes are just some of the available excitements depending upon the itinerary selected.
As per traditional Bi. Costa Rica practice lodging is in small, locally towards visitors, ensures that facilities are clean and owned hotels and lodges. This allows you to experience the famous Tico warmth and hospitality well maintained and offers more direct contact with the Costa Rican culture. We specifically avoid the large, impersonal hotels many operators use since they isolate you from the true Costa Rica.
All meals are included in our tours. Contrary to what many guide books claim, Costa Rica has an excellent and varied cuisine, even more so now that tourism has become so prominent. While rice and beans are the staple, Costa Rican cooking offers much more, including wonderful vegetables grown on the volcanic slopes, outstanding seafood throughout the country and incredible tropical fruits, many of which will be new to you, such as guanabana, cas and maracuya. Not to mention the cyclists staple the humble banana, which is far better experienced here, where they are harvested when ripe!.
In addition to the new offerings we will continue to offer old favorites such as “Osa Odyssey” and “Route of the Conquistadores”. Currently in development are several more new tours including a challenging 9 Day / 8 Night "Volcano Transit" with the option to extend to 2 week and a superb lodge-based itinerary near Lake Arenal which will feature our best single-track!.
